Francine Grabowski

Lead Diabetes Educator

Francine Grabowski is the Lead Diabetes Educator for the Camden Citywide Diabetes Collaborative.  She is a registered dietician and a certified diabetes educator and is a specialist in diabetes self-management education with extensive experience in medical nutrition therapy of high cholesterol and heart disease.  As part of the Diabetes Collaborative, she leads a community-based diabetes education program, teaching patients how to manage their diet and nutrition, establish behavioral modification goals, and control their disease.  She also coordinates with primary care practices to ensure continuity of diabetes care for students in her classes.  Additionally, she works with diabetes educators across the city to coordinate and streamline diabetes patient education efforts at a citywide level.   Francine is the author of several books on diet and nutrition and is a graduate of Wayne State University and the University of Bridgeport.
