Steven Kaufman

Staff Endocrinologist

Steve Kaufman is the Staff Endocrinologist for the Camden Citywide Diabetes Collaborative, where he is working to improve the care for patients with diabetes at a citywide level.

As part of the Collaborative, Steve spends much of his time in Camden provider offices as a coach, mentor, and educator for providers to implement the Chronic Care Model for improvements in diabetes practice and patient outcomes. He is also working to standardize protocols of care for diabetic patients in order to improve the coordination of care delivery across the city.

Steve is a faculty member of the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in Camden and is the Head of the Division of Endocrinology at Cooper University Hospital.

He is a graduate of Rutgers University and the Temple University School of Medicine.
